Night lights and table lamps: how to choose (from what is in stock)
Published · Amazstock
A night light and a desk lamp solve different tasks: a night light provides dim light so as not to disturb sleep, while a desk lamp should illuminate the table well for reading or work. Below is what to look for when choosing and a table of night lights and desk lamps currently in our warehouse. The data in the table is taken from product names and cards.
If you need light specifically for power outages, see the separate article "Rechargeable lamps and flashlights for home". Here, we discuss choosing a night light or desk lamp in general, including models that run on mains power or USB.
Night light or desk lamp
Night light — for the bedroom, nursery, hallway: soft light, often with a timer, remote control, or sensor. Decorative 3D night lights shine through an acrylic plate with engraving, and a volumetric image is visible on it.
Desk lamp — for reading, homework, and work. Here, even white light, brightness adjustment, and a flexible or foldable design to direct light onto the table are important.
Lamp-night light — a desk lamp with a dim or colored light mode; such models are marked separately in the table.
Sensors, timer, and control
Motion sensor turns on the light when someone walks by and turns it off after a while — convenient in the hallway, on stairs, in a closet.
Light (dusk) sensor turns on the night light when it gets dark and turns it off during the day.
Timer turns off the light after a set time — so the night light doesn't stay on until morning.
Touch control and remote — brightness and color are changed by touch or from the remote without getting out of bed.
Light color and brightness
Light color temperature is measured in Kelvin: warm light is approximately 2700–3000 K, neutral is about 4000 K, cold is 5000–6500 K. In the evening and before sleep, people usually choose warm light; for working at a desk, neutral or cold. Multicolor RGB night lights are primarily decorative lighting. Brightness is measured in lumens (lm); if there are no lumens in the product data, focus on the purpose: a decorative night light shines dimly, a working desk lamp — significantly brighter.
Power supply
From mains or USB — the lamp shines while connected to a socket, adapter, or computer.
Battery — the lamp can be carried around and used without a socket; it charges via USB.
Batteries — this is how small night lights with a motion sensor, which are attached to a wall or in a closet, often work.
Night lights and desk lamps in stock
The list is built from the in-stock catalogue as of 13 October 2026.
The list has 29 items: night lights — 13, desk lamps — 16. Rechargeable — 13, battery-powered — 4; with a motion or light sensor — 5, with a remote — 3, with a timer — 4.
Data is taken from the product name and specifications (as on the product page); a dash means the value is missing. Brightness in lumens is not given in the data for these items, so it is not in the table.
All items in the table are in stock, prices are current at the time of opening the page, and the list is updated along with the catalog. The condition of the item (new or used) is indicated on the product card. Delivery is via Nova Poshta throughout Ukraine, with shipment within 1–2 business days after order confirmation; returns or exchanges are possible within 14 calendar days from the date of receipt (terms).
